Project „Xenophilia."
Graduating Project work in BA Art and Multimedia @ LMU Munich.
In “Xenophilia.”, people interviewed by me were portrayed on an interactive web installation in the form of stop- motion videos and illustrations. As a means against racism, the aim was to convey love/acceptance for strange cultures & people as well as empathy for the viewer.

‘Xenophilia’ is defined as an attraction or admiration of strangers or foreigners of anything foreign or strange.
I wanted to start one step before racism and address against Xenophobia (fear of strange and foreign), which is where hate and racism grows from in my opinion. Instead of lecturing not to hate, I wanted to inspire to be open, curious, accepting and loving. Every person is unique despite of their visible ethnic background. My idea was ‘Colour of Personality’, which is a visualisation of a persons’ individuality on the outside in contrast to their skin tone.
In the audio-visual web-installation, the visitor can watch video clips of different people, through interaction, either a person or a personality of an individual is displayed. The Website has been designed using Adobe XD and and build by my Dad, Yuri Rezvanov. The Stopmotion videos were cut using Photoshop and Premiere Pro, the effects were then added in After Effects. Furthermore, short and aesthetic portfolios can be found describing each individual. The visual person, who can only be seen with the naked eye is standing in contrast with their inside world. The user also has the possibility to pick their colour in a feature and share it with other project participants and future visitors.
